Tom Grisanti

Music Director

Thomas Grisanti was appointed music director of the Kentucky Chamber Orchestra in October 2019. An educator at heart, Grisanti studied Music Education with a focus on Instrumental Music Instruction at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania.  Under the tutelage of Dr. Jeff Jacobsen, accomplished conductor and bassist, Mr. Grisanti took advantage of the many opportunities Mansfield University had to offer to advance his knowledge of string pedagogy and instrumental conducting.  This unique educational opportunity has served Mr. Grisanti well over the last five years working for Jefferson County Public Schools as the orchestra director  of Southern High School, Knight Middle School, and Laukhuf and Blue Lick Elementary Schools. Currently the orchestra director of Waggener High School, Mr. Grisanti is excited for the opportunities that the Kentucky Chamber Orchestra presents to further the music education and enrich the musical community for the members of the Louisville community and beyond.
